Lincoln High School will be hosting a community reception to unveil the results of a pilot project that supports student achievement in online journalism and media arts, and empowers Lincoln students, alumni and neighbors with digital technology and training to share their own stories online.  The reception will take place on Thursday, January 28, 2010, 6:30pm – 8pm, at the Performing Arts Theatre on the Lincoln High School campus located at 4777 Imperial Avenue, San Diego.   This event is free and open to the public.

Funded by a grant from The San Diego Foundation, the pilot Lincoln High School Producers Project has created four programs:

(1) Teen Producers, a film collection of narratives, interviews and reflections from the community;

(2) Doc Your Block, student stories about their surrounding community

(3) Echoes, alumni reflections on how Lincoln impacted their lives

(4) Voices of Lincoln, the official newspaper of Lincoln, “The Buzz”, in new electronic format
